Lighting Showroom
Project Type : Student Work - 2017
Placing light at the center of the design concept , the visitor’s journey is defined by 3 axis- portals of natural light inside the space. Each axis; reflected by the marble flooring , orientates the visitor towards the galleries where different types of lighting are showcased : The Main gallery offering the newest collection of lighting products, followed by the Obscure gallery, deprived of natural light, where the user can experience various temperatures of light from different perspectives . Thirdly, the Mezzanine gallery displaying decorative lighting, can be accessed by following the metal beam that traces the customer’s path across the two levels.
Throughout the visitors experience, the circulation flow is matched by the play on natural and superficial, direct and indirect lighting, depending on the typology of the space. Therefore, assisting the viewer at understanding the impact various sources of lighting has on our senses .
